Stephanie Bowen was a Senior Editor at Sourcebooks, Inc., one of the fastest growing independent publishers in the U.S. She manages the adult nonfiction line and acquires both nonfiction and fiction for the Sourcebooks and Landmark imprints, respectively. On the nonfiction side, she is particularly interested in history, memoir, smart practical nonfiction with an accessible voice and unique hook, and some current affairs/women’s affairs.

On the fiction side, she is looking for historical fiction set in an unusual time period or place and strong commercial women’s fiction. In addition, she has also developed some of Sourcebooks’ cutting-edge digital publishing initiatives and products, including a line of interactive enhanced ebooks for Discovery Channel’s HowStuffWorks.com.

Prior to joining Sourcebooks, Stephanie was at Doubleday, an imprint of Random House, for five years, where she worked with a number of prize-winning and bestselling authors, including David Bach, Louann Brizendine, H.W. Brands, and others. She is dedicated to helping authors deliver engaging and informative content and stories in any and all formats to readers around the world.
