Words & Music: A Literary Feast in New Orleans, put on annually by the Pirate’s Alley Faulkner Society, opens November 28, 2012 with the Society’s annual master class for high school students.  Adult programming will begin later that day.  Their special guest of honor this year will be Ernest J. Gaines, famous Louisiana fiction writer, author of A Lesson Before Dying, The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman, and other critically acclaimed works of fiction.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Literature Out of Time” and will once again feature dozens of the best authors, agents and editors gathered for five days in “The Big Easy” to talk about books, writing, and the road to publishing success.
